The answers below cover what clients most often ask before residential building work starts. If your question is not covered, contact us and we will answer it directly.
1. Do you hold construction qualifications or trade certifications?
We do not publish certification claims on this website. Where a project needs regulated work — gas, electrical or structural sign-off — we co-ordinate with appropriately qualified specialists and include the resulting documentation in the project record.
2. How is a price put together?
We price after a site survey. The survey findings, the agreed scope of works and any structural design are priced together, and you receive the figure in writing before work starts.
3. How long will the work take?
We provide a staged programme rather than a single completion date, because progress depends on the property, the structural design and weather.
4. Can we stay in the house while the work is carried out?
In many cases yes. Access routes, dust protection, working hours and which parts of the house are affected are agreed with you before work starts.
5. Are materials included?
The written scope of works states what is included and what is excluded, including who supplies materials.
6. How do you approach quality control?
Work is checked at the end of each stage, and structural work follows the inspection stages required by the structural engineer’s design.
7. Is there a warranty?
Any warranty or guarantee terms are set out in the written agreement for your project. We do not make warranty claims on this website.
8. Can you remove a loadbearing wall?
Only with a structural design. A structural engineer assesses the existing structure and specifies the supports required; the work is then carried out to that design.
9. What areas do you work in?
We work on residential properties across the United Kingdom; whether we can take on your project depends on location, scope and programme.
